#7 Ford Scorpio
In 1995, Ford were losing out big-time to Merc and BMW in the executive car market. What they decided to do, brilliantly, was to make their new Scorpio look so unbelievably hideous that people would rather scratch their own eyes out than look at it for a second longer. This explains Ford’s withdrawal from the market in 1999.
